One year ago, the Hutchinson Community College volleyball team had to win two postseason matches on the court of the rival Seward County Saints to win a Region VI Tournament championship.
The Blue Dragons will have to accomplish the same thing on Sunday to repeat as regional champion.
Tournament third-seed Hutchinson (18-15) takes on second seeded Colby(27-3) in the second semifinal at 3 p.m. on Sunday in the second Region VI Tournament semifinal in Liberal. Top-seeded Seward County meets fourth-seed Barton in the first semifinal.
The championship match will be at 6 p.m. or one hour after the second semifinal match.
