HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The United Way of Reno County fundraising campaign is still going on and is your chance to help 25 different non-profit agencies keep their services alive.

Lisa Gleason, who heads the local United Way, says she received some bad news as fundraising efforts continue:
She says this amounts to a loss of about $100,000. She also talked about the goal of $1,350,000 and admits this is a big amount to raise for these agencies:
What many may not realize is, even though the national economy is doing well, there are those locally who are still struggling. Moreover, it appears to be getting worse:
Wayne Unruh and his wife, Helen, are heading up the Key Club as part of the United Way campaign:
The Key Club is for those who give a gift of $500 or more during this campaign.
Those who wish to give can do so through a payroll deduction. A one-time gift can also be given through the mail or dropped off at the United Way office at 924 N. Main in Hutchinson. For more information, call United Way at 620-669-9329.
