
EL DORADO, Kan. — The Hutchinson Community College Blue Dragons (6-0) defeated the Murray State College Aggies (3-3) 88-55 Friday.
The Dragons shot 53.8 percent, while the Aggies managed only 26 percent.
Three minutes into the first half, Hutchinson’s Boubacar Kamissoko assisted Fred Odihiambo in a solid dunk to put the Dragons up 6-2.
Hutchinson led Murray State 24-9 with 11 minutes left in the first half.
With almost a minute left in the first half, Hutchinson’s Tyler Brown finished a layup to double the score on Murray State at 44-22.
Hutchinson’s James Rojas delivered a layup and a successful free throw to put Hutchinson up 28 with 15:49 left. Rojas had a team-high 15 points and a season-high eight rebounds in the game.
The Dragons had a 49-33 rebounding advantage over the Aggies.
