HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Reno County’s sales tax collection fell sharply in the month of November when compared to previous years.
Total sales tax revenue for the month was $358,684 compared to $392,416 in 2017. That means tax revenue for the jail was also down from this same time last year. Tax revenue that goes to the jail totaled $441,609 compared to $484,630 in 2017.
For the year the county has taken in $4,073,702 which means it will take in more this year than the previous year.
November numbers reflect shopping trends for the month of September.
