RENO COUNTY —Deputies and EMS were responding to western Reno County for
an accidental shooting while hunting.

According to Reno County Sheriff Captain Steve Lutz, there were three men from California hunting goose in the area of High Point and Blanchard Roads when one of the men’s shotgun went off and struck a heel on one of his feet.

The victim was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita for treatment.

No names have been released with the incident occurring just before 8 a.m.
