HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The city of Hutchinson hopes to have a new planning director in place soon. City Manager John Deardoff says they are interviewing three finalists for the position currently held by Interim Director Jim Seitnater.
Seitnater was appointed Interim Director of Planning and Development in July of 2018, replacing Jana McCarron, who resigned to take a new position within the community. He was moved to the planning department after his position with downtown development was eliminated because of budget cuts.
Deardoff did not give a timeline for how soon the position will be filled.
