HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A Hutchinson chiropractor has been cited by the Kansas Board of Healing Arts after several deficiencies were reported at his practice.

The board began its investigation of Dr. Christopher Schroeder after a complaint with multiple allegations was filed. The complaint alleged a lack of training for staff regarding X-ray equipment. A review of medical records by the board revealed that the medical records lacked sufficient detail regarding treatment and patient response.

It also says that X-rays for the patients identified in the medical records were deficient, including the inability to read a number of images, lack of adequate identifying information and the presence of metal artifacts within the images.

Schroeder, who completely cooperated with the board, was ordered to attend and successfully complete the Center for Personalized Education for Physicians Medical Record Keeping Seminar before the end of July. Schroeder must complete all follow-up recommendations made at that time.
