HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Third Thursday this week will feature Street Art and activities throughout Downtown Hutchinson.
The Street Art activities will be in Avenue A Park and from Avenue A through 4th Avenue. Hours will be from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

That includes live painting demonstrations in Avenue A Park. Visitors can also watch how Cow Creek will be turned into a living canvas with a giant art display.
Stop by Avenue A and help complete a community masterpiece. Once completed, this art piece will hang at Hutch Rec for all to enjoy.
There will also be chalk art along Main Street where kids and adults can draw on the sidewalk.
One Chalk Stop will be at Sugartime Confections where kids will receive a candy sucker after they draw on the sidewalks.
The second stop will be at the Sleep Shoppe, Frameography and Lucille’s Boutique. Each store will provide gifts when kids stop by to draw.
The third stop will be at Gale Wall Photography and Bookends where cookies and free books will be given out to kids who draw in front of both businesses.
Finally, Dear Lizzie Boutique will provide a snack or drink.
Live music will also be at the four chalk art stops, as well as the Avenue A gazebo.
The Family Community Theatre will showcase small performances from the upcoming “Beehive” show in front of Bookends store.
The Hutchinson Community Foundation will also be handing out Make it Greater grant checks, with announcements made from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. in the Avenue A gazebo.
