SOUTH HUTCHINSON, Kan. – It’s an annual event around the state and the country when law enforcement agencies and others provide a safe environment to dispose of old and unwanted medications. With the opioid crisis, that’s important.

The South Hutchinson Police Department will be the site for this drug take back event in this area. The department will have its offices open Saturday.

With this take back event, you can take old and unwanted medications to the South Hutchinson Police Department headquarters at 10 E. Blanchard.

They will also accept any pet medication. Some of the things they won’t accept include syringes, inhalers, injectables, liquids and oxygen containers.
