Hutch man formally charged with aggravated assault and aggravated burglary

A 55-year-old man jailed back on April 30, after he allegedly broke into an apartment in the Landmark Building at 501 North Main, has been formally charged.

Timothy Lee Underriner of 500 East 7th, is charged with aggravated burglary, and aggravated assault for allegedly threatening a Hutchinson man, Marc Mullins with a knife.

He had left the apartment as police were arriving but they managed to make a traffic stop in the unit block of East 5th.

Motive for the threat isn’t clear with Mullins telling police that he only new Underriner by name, and wasn’t sure why he was threatened.

Underriner was read the formal complaint by Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen and the case is now set for a waiver-status docket for May 23.
