HARVEY COUNTY— Four people were injured in an accident just after 1p.m. Saturday in Harvey County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1998 Olds Intrigue driven by Carson Ryan Haury, 21, Emporia, was west bound on U.S. 50 when an unknown vehicle entered the roadway at the intersection of Halstead Road.
Haury performed an evasive maneuver crossing the center line to the left, started to rotate clockwise in the east bound lanes and struck an eastbound 2019 Jeep Cherokee driven by Mueller, Dylan Patrick Mueller, 30, Burrton.
Haury and passengers in the Jeep Kevin Dale King, 51; Marissa Mueller, 27, and Cherie R. King, 51, all of Burton were transported to hospitals in Wichita.
Mueller was not injured. All five were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
