MCPHERSON, Kan. — West First Street in McPherson from Hickory Street to Hospital Drive was temporarily closed Thursday morning because of a gas leak.

The closure included the intersections of First and Hickory and First and Mulberry.

Some businesses in the area were evacuated as a precaution.
