Monarchs shut out Andale, 7-0

Hutchinson Monarchs defeated Andale Warhawks 7-0 on Sunday as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout.  L.J. McDonough got the win after going 5 innings, giving up only 2 hits and striking out 7. Ty Clark induced a fly out from Ethan White to finish off the game. Ramos took the loss for the Warhawks
Hutchinson Monarchs opened up scoring in the first inning, when Garrett Stephens singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
Hutchinson Monarchs scored three runs in the seventh inning. Kevin Cronin and Ryan Stoecklein all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

A single by Tanner Buckley in the fourth inning was a positive for Andale Warhawks.
L.J. McDonough toed the rubber for Hutchinson Monarchs. He lasted five innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out seven.
Steve Ramos led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Andale Warhawks. He went nine innings, allowing seven runs on ten hits and striking out six.
Hutchinson Monarchs racked up ten hits in the game. Conor Craig, Brayden Whitchurch, and Stephens each managed multiple hits for Hutchinson Monarchs. Craig went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Hutchinson Monarchs in hits.

The Monarchs return home on Tuesday night to take on the Haysville Aviators at 7:00 pm.
