Peggy A. Frenya | 1939 – 2019 |

Peggy A. Frenya, 80, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Sunshine Meadows, Buhler, KS.

Peggy was born May 28, 1939 in Platter, OK and was the daughter of Delmer and Loma Smith. On December 16, 1961 she married Harold R. Frenya in Ponca, OK.

She was an active member of Westside Baptist Church, Hutchinson and enjoyed taking part of all the activities the church would have to offer. Peggy had several hobbies throughout her life that she enjoyed doing, she crocheted, played cards with her friends, went camping with her family but her favorite was rooting for her Kansas City Chiefs football and Royals baseball. Peggy had worked as an office manager for a realty office prior to retiring.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold, a son Kirt Frenya, a brother Bob Smith, two sisters, Gladys Smith and Barbara Staton and two grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Robert (Patty) Frenya of Russell Springs, KY, Douglas Frenya of Rome, GA; two daughters, Lorelei (Peter) Groen of Chandler, MN, Rhonda (Tim) Ramsey of Haven, KS; ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Westside Baptist Church, 400 West 12th Ave., Hutchinson, KS, with Pastor Tim Adrian officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family present to greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, KS. Burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, KS. Memorials may be given to the Peggy A. Frenya Memorial Fund and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
