BUHLER, Kan. — The Newton Rebels scored in bunches in both the 1st and 2nd inning, then finished off the Hutchinson Monarchs (12-6) in the home half of the 6th with 7 runs to run rule the Monarchs 18-7 Wednesday night.

The Rebels produced their 18 runs off of 11 hits with the Monarchs aiding the Rebels with 5 errors.

Hutchinson’s bats were hot as well with 12 hits, but not enough runs.  Branden Whitchurch, Scott Wolverton and Connor Craig went 3 for 3 with Craig producing 3 RBI’s.  Kevin Cronin went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI’s, but the rest of the lineup’s bats were silent.

The Monarchs return home Friday, June 28th for a home game with the Salina Shock.
