BUTLER COUNTY — A 19-year-old Climax, Kansas, man was killed after a two-vehicle accident just before 6:30 a.m. Thursday in Butler County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Matthew L. Crouch was westbound on U.S. 400 when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck a pickup driven by 31-year-old Steven Simpson of Cottonwood Falls. Crouch was killed while Simpson may have suffered minor injuries.
Officials say weather may have been a contributing factor in the crash.
