SYRACUSE, Kan. – A seven-year-old boy was killed in an ATV accident Saturday evening in Hamilton County.

Michael Kanon of Syracuse was traveling eastbound on River Road he began to rotate clockwise on all four tires going broadside. The ATV then went off the roadway south of River Road and rotated over the driver’s side an undetermined amount of times. Kanon was ejected from the vehicle which came to rest facing southwest 2.9 miles West of Kansas Highway 27 on River Road.

The boy was taken to the Hamilton County Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
