MCPHERSON – A 67-year-old Derby man was taken to a hospital in McPherson after when his vehicle crossed the center line of U-S 56 and struck a Peterbuilt semi on its number 5 axle.

Injured was Stephen Bowersox who was driving a Dodge van westbound on the highway. He was taken to Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries. The driver of the semi was identified as 54-year-old Timothy Amerine of Great Bend. He was not injured.

The accident occurring around 2:15 p-m, on 56-highway, about 8-miles west of McPherson.
