Hutchinson School board talks meeting dates

HUTCHINSON, Kan. – On Monday, the Hutchinson USD 308 School Board reaffirmed its long-standing practice of normally meeting twice a month on the second and fourth Mondays of each month, unless it falls on a holiday.

The Board meets at 6 p.m and is tentatively not scheduled to meet on Dec. 23, because of the Christmas holiday, March 23, because of spring break and May 25, because of Memorial Day. In the past, the Board typically has held meetings at the Administration Center but has held some of its meetings in other district facilities.

The district emails staff and the community each Friday before the Monday meetings. board agendas are available at boarddocs.com/ks/usd308/Board.nsf/Public. Any changes in meeting locations will be in the agendas.

The board also designated Tad Dower, Randall Gray and Greg Meredith as the district’s representatives on the Educational Facilities Authority of Reno County. The other four board members are alternates, which is the body that governs Gowans Stadium.

Also approved was the annual milk bid from Hiland Dairy, the only supplier submitting a bid.

The board also held an executive session for negotiations with NEA-Hutchinson. No word on any outcome from that.
