A portion of a major Reno County road will be closed for the rest of the year as Reno County Public Works is preparing to replace a major bridge starting Thursday.

Whiteside road from Arlington road to lake Cable Road will close until the middle of December as crews replace the span.

The project is the most significant of six bridges that are being replaced this year by the county. Several smaller projects have already been completed.

The bridge is located about 7-miles east of Arlington or about 10-miles south of South Hutchinson, and just north of Arlington Road. If you would like more information about the road closing you can contact Reno County Public Works at 620-694-2976.
