WICHITA, Kan. – The NBC World Series Tournament continued Tuesday at Eck Stadium on the campus of Wichita State University with the Championship Week pool play wrapping up.The top 3 teams in each pool have now advanced to a single elimination bracket tournament that will begin on Today. The first place team from each pool received a bye before starting elimination play. Those teams receiving byes are the Cheney, KS Diamond Dawgs, Lonestar TX Baseball Club, Fairbanks, AK Goldpanners and, as of Tuesday evening, the Santa Barbara, CA Foresters. They are part of the 12 teams that remain in this years National Tournament.
Texas Express, Colorado Game Day Saints, San Antonio, TX Angels and Liberal, KS Bee Jays have been eliminated from advancing.
Pool B:
Santa Barbara, CA Foresters (8) defeated the Gameday, CO Saints (1)
Haysville, KS Aviators (6) defeated the Great Bend, KS Bat Cats (1)
Pool D:
Liberal, KS BeeJays (10) defeated the onestar Texas Baseball Club (2)
Derby, KS Twins (2) defeated the San Diego, CA Stars (1)
