WICHITA, Kan. – The NBC World Series Tournament continued Wednesday at Eck Stadium on the campus of Wichita State University with the Championship Week bracket play starting.The top 3 teams in each pool have now advanced to a single elimination bracket tournament that will begin on Today. The first place team from each pool received a bye before starting elimination play. Those teams receiving byes are the Cheney, KS Diamond Dawgs, Lonestar TX Baseball Club, Fairbanks, AK Goldpanners and, as of Tuesday evening, the Santa Barbara, CA Foresters. They are part of the 12 teams that remain in this years National Tournament.
Texas Express, Colorado Game Day Saints, San Antonio, TX Angels and Liberal, KS Bee Jays, Colorado Cyclones, San Diego, CA Waves, Haysville, KS Aviators and Great Bend, KS Bat Cats have been eliminated from advancing.
