NBC World Series Champs has a west coast flair

WICHITA, Kan. – The Cheney, KS Diamond Dawgs gave it all they had during the finals of the NBC Tournament Championship game Saturday night at Eck Stadium in Wichita, but the Seattle WA Studs were able to edge the Diamond Dawgs 5-4 in 9 innings tonight for the 2019 Championship of the 85th annual World Series.  Cheney out of the Sunflower Collegiate League hung in there and had a great tournament, but Seattle was able to find a way to win the crown.
Seattle jumped out early in the game and had a 3-0 lead before Cheney scored 3 in the bottom of the 2nd to tie the game 3-3. Seattle pushed 2 crossed in the top of the 5th to lead 5-3, but Cheney could only answer with 1 run in the 6th, and that was all the scoring for the remainder of the contest.
Winning Pitcher was Jared Wilson for Seattle.  The losing pitcher for the Dawgs was Jacob Uhing.  Anthony Brady gets the save after getting out of trouble in the bottom of the 9th with runners at 1st and 2nd, he was able to get Blake Rambush to hit into a 4-6-3 double play to end the game and give the Championship to the Seattle Studs, which is their third National World Series Championship.
