A 67-year-old Hutchinson man was taken to the hospital after he lost control of his motorcycle around 10:45 a-m Wednesday, because of the wind. This occurring along K-96 between Hutchinson and Nickerson. Injured was John Meeker.
The accident occurring at the intersection of K-96 and 56th Street with Sheriff, EMS, and District 3 Fire Units being called to the scene.
When deputies arrived, they found a 1978 Honda Goldwing laid over in the north ditch.
Meeker said he was headed south on K-96 and was going to turn left onto 56th Street however the wind caught him and forced him into the south ditch and then the bike came out of the ditch crossed the roadway went into the north ditch where it laid over.
Meeker suffered a leg injury and was transported by Reno County EMS to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.
