WICHITA, Kan. – The University of Kansas Jayhawk Volleyball team defeated Wichita State 3-2 (22-25, 28-26, 11-25, 25-15, 15-6) in front of over 3,000 fans at Koch Arena Saturday afternoon. Both coaches experimented with lineups, especially in the final two sets. 15 Shockers played, 14 for the Jayhawks.
The Shockers hit .370 in the third set, the best attack percentage of the match. Kansas hit .233 and .200 in the final two sets to break away.
WSU opens the season on the road vs Holy Cross on August 30th at the Penn State Classic at University Park, Penn.
KU travels to Kansas City to match up against UMKC also on August 30th.
