HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Animal Shelter is holding a special adoption event through Sept. 2.

During this period, cats can be adopted for $10, kittens for just $25. Adoption fees for dogs have been reduced to $75. Some cats and kittens are being offered for free.

Anyone wanting to adopt a pet must fill out an application and provide proof of rabies vaccine for any other pet in the house.
