Alcohol is being investigated as possibly contributing to a one vehicle roll-over crash west of Hutchinson Saturday night.
According to Sheriff Captain Wayne Baughman, just after 8 p-m, Saturday night, Reno County Sheriff’s deputiess along with Fire and EMS were dispatched to the 1200 block of North Whiteside Rd for a one vehicle roll over crash.
They report that a 1992 Ford Tempo, owned and driven by 30-year-old James Smith of Hutchinson was north bound on Whiteside Rd., went off the west side of the road and the driver over-corrected and the vehicle crossed over the roadway going off the roadway on the east side and then rolled two and a half times coming to rest on its top.
Smith along with his passenger, 30-year-old Daron Ingham of Nickerson were both transported by E-M-S to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
Baughman says both were wearing their seat-belts.
He adds the alcohol is being investigated as a contributing circumstance to the crash.
