A 77-year-old Hutchinson man was taken to a local hospital Sunday evening after a two vehicle accident on K-96 just south of South Hutchinson.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, both drivers, Lowell Showalter of Hutchinson and 22-year-old Casie Adams of Osawatomie were southbound on K-96, when Showalter side-swiped Adams vehicle.

Showalter was taken to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment. The accident occurring about 11:30 p-m Monday evening, about a mile and half south of South Hutchinson.
