HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Animal Shelter will be holding a special adoption and donation event this Saturday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Dillon’s Marketplace at 30th and Waldron.

Dogs can be adopted for $50 and puppies for $100. Those wanting to adopt must have proof that any other dogs in your home are up to date on their rabies vaccination. A copy of the rabies certificate must be presented for one site approval.

Donations of money and supplies will be accepted as well. Some of the items needed include 55-gallon trash bags, paper towels, toys and for dogs and cats, bedding, rawhide bones and cat litter.
