HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Another hard R Rated movie takes center spotlight this weekend after “IT Chapter Two” led its opening box office weekend with more than $91 million in ticket sales. The Stephen King novel about evil clowns gendered up enough bloody violence, disturbing images and language along with crude sexual material to satisfy a disturbing number of moviegoers.

Now, “Hustlers” has made its way to Hutchinson’s B&B Theatres after rave reviews and Oscar talk from the Toronto International Film Festival where it got the attention of critics and audiences. In brief, “Hustlers” is based on some of the things that happened after the 2008 financial crash. Described by some as a “drama with depth and intelligence,” the story focuses on four former strip club employees who band together to turn the tables on Wall Street.

Some are even calling it the “movie of the year” with an exceptional performance by Jennifer Lopez, who co-produced it with fellow actors Will Ferrell and Adam McKay. Lopez’s co-stars also shine: Cardi B, Constance Wu and Lili Reinhart. “Breaking the rules never seemed too much fun or necessary,” says a national reviewer who got a sneak peak. It is visually appealing along with its true story base. On Rotten Tomatoes, “Hustlers” has a solid 95% rating.

This weekend’s carryovers include the secret service/presidential drama with Morgan Freeman “Angel Has Fallen,” while the faith-based film, “Overcomer,” produced on only a $5 million budget, has now done nearly five times that amount of business with ticket sales of $24.6 million.
