KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City Chiefs will kick off the 2019 home slate with a noon battle against the reigning AFC North Division Champions, the Baltimore Ravens, on Sunday, Sept. 22 at Arrowhead Stadium.

Chiefs Celebrate Home Opener with Festivities
To kick off the 2019 regular season home slate this Sunday, a full-field sized American flag will be drawn across the Arrowhead Stadium playing surface for the duration of the national anthem. Chiefs Red Coaters and select Season Ticket Members will hold the flag, along with players and coaches from both the Chiefs and the Ravens on their respective sidelines.
A special flyover (weather permitting) will be conducted by a B-2 Stealth Bomber from the 509th Bomb Wing, stationed at Whiteman Air Force Base outside of Knob Noster, Mo., coinciding with seven-time Grammy Award nominee Natalie Grant’s performance of the national anthem. Sunday’s color guard execution will be conducted by a joint assembly of Kansas and Missouri National Guard representatives.
The Voices of Service, a group of performers comprised of active and former military members that participated in this season’s “America’s Got Talent,” will perform during halftime of Sunday’s game, being joined on the field by 20 Season Ticket Members holding special star-adorned flags.
NFL Hispanic Heritage Recognition at Arrowhead
The Chiefs will present President & CEO of UnidosUS Janet Murguía with the club’s respective NFL Hispanic Heritage Leadership Award prior to kick off on Sunday. Murguía has selected the Greater Kansas City Hispanic Development Fund to receive the $2,000 donation on her behalf. On top of receiving the award, Murguía will also conduct the game’s ceremonial ‘First Pass’ prior to kickoff.
Traffic Alert: Road Construction Surrounding Arrowhead Stadium
All fans are reminded that MoDOT has commenced a multi-year construction project on sections of I-435 and I-70. Please be advised that there will be detours on game day at the I-435 and I-70 Interchange for travelers on Southbound I-435 toward Arrowhead Stadium. Parking Gates
Parking lot gates for Sunday’s game open at 7 a.m. Fans are encouraged to plan ahead and purchase passes in advance on chiefs.com/parking. Purchasing parking passes in advance is a more cost-effective method and can help expedite entry into the Arrowhead Stadium parking lots. Parking passes can be accessed via the Chiefs Mobile App on game day.
Red Parking passes are $40 when pre-paid online at Chiefs.com and $60 cash only at the tollgates.
Stadium Gates
All Arrowhead Stadium gates will open at 10 a.m. for the 12 p.m. opening kickoff. Gates for guests with CommunityAmerica Club Level tickets will open at 9:30 a.m.
Faith and Family Chapel presented by Church of the Resurrection
For the sixth consecutive year, the Kansas City Chiefs will offer a non-denominational pregame chapel service for fans at Arrowhead Stadium who may miss their normal Sunday worship opportunities due to Chiefs games. The service, which is held in the east side of the Pavilion on the south side of Arrowhead Stadium, will take place every week there is a noon home game. Every service will feature a message and supplemental worship beginning at 10 a.m.
Ford Tailgate District
The Ford Tailgate District has returned to Arrowhead Stadium for the 2019 season. Located in Lot M outside of the Founder’s Plaza on the north side of the stadium, the free Ford Tailgate District features drink specials, food trucks, tailgating games and live entertainment leading up to kickoff of all Chiefs home games. The Ford Tailgate District will open at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday in Lot M.
STM Kickoff Countdown Tent
Returning in 2019, the STM Kickoff Countdown hospitality tent is an exclusive pre-game area for Season Ticket Members on gameday. Open from 10 a.m. until kickoff, this ticketed event space offers Season Ticket Members complimentary hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks. Located between Gate G and the Hy-Vee Gate on Plaza Level, the tent also features a DJ, photobooth and appearances by KC Wolf and the Chiefs Cheerleaders. To secure STM Kickoff Countdown tickets, Season Ticket Members may visit their STM account at ChiefsKingdomRewards.com or through the Chiefs Mobile App.
GEHA Drum Deck
New in 2019, the club has introduced an exciting new space to add to the Arrowhead Stadium gameday experience, the GEHA Drum Deck. Located below the west scoreboard in the upper level, the GEHA Drum Deck is a new, permanent site for two gameday traditions – the Drum Honoree and the Tony DiPardo Spirit Leader. Kansas City Chiefs all-time leading rusher Jamaal Charles will serve as Sunday’s Drum Honoree and GEHA President & CEO Darren Taylor will be this week’s Tony DiPardo Spirit Leader.
The new GEHA Drum Deck takes an exciting and important part of the gameday experience from the field level and elevates it to a more prominent position in the stadium, bringing fans in the upper level closer than ever before to a pair of special Arrowhead traditions.
Lamar Hunt Legacy Seat
To help celebrate the franchise’s 60th season, the Kansas City Chiefs introduced the Lamar Hunt Legacy Seat at Arrowhead Stadium. For each home game in the 2019 season, the club will select one honoree who embodies the spirit of Lamar Hunt and represents the four pillars of the Chiefs Mission: Win with Character, Unite our Community, Inspire our Fans and Honor Tradition.
The two gold seats are located in Section 121 of the lower bowl, symbolically positioned under Lamar Hunt’s name in the team’s Ring of Honor. Sunday’s honoree is Connor Hill, a passionate 12-year-old Chiefs fan and proud representative of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City.
In 2012, Connor was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma and spent a considerable amount of time at the Ronald McDonald House throughout his treatment process. After numerous rounds of strenuous treatment and surgical procedures, Connor reached remission in June of 2013. Connor and his family unfortunately suffered a return of the cancer five months later, but after undergoing further rounds of treatment, Connor returned to remission and has now been cancer-free for over four and a half years. Connor’s perseverance and strength displayed during his treatment process, and the passion he possesses now when he returns to RMHC-KC to volunteer, embody the spirit and pride of Chiefs Founder Lamar Hunt.
Hunt Family Foundation 50/50 Raffle
Sunday’s hope opener Hunt Family Foundation 50/50 Raffle will benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City. Tickets are three for $5, 10 for $10 and 60 for $20. Beginning this season, fans who are not at Arrowhead Stadium on gameday can also participate in the Hunt Family Foundation 50/50 Raffle by visiting chiefs.com/fans/5050raffle.
Online sales are now live, but fans must be located in the state of Missouri at the time they purchase a ticket online. The winning ticket will be announced during the fourth quarter of the game and winners do not need to be present to win. Raffle tickets will remain on sale through the end of the third quarter. To help make purchasing raffle tickets at Arrowhead Stadium more accessible, a credit card option is now available at kiosks located inside the stadium. The winner has 30 days to redeem their ticket. The winning ticket will be announced in-stadium and at chiefs.com/fans/5050raffle.

Fans unable to attend Sunday’s game can tune into KCFX 101 The Fox, the Home of the Chiefs Radio Network, as the “Voice of the Chiefs” Mitch Holthus, former Chiefs LS Kendall Gammon and Chiefs Reporter BJ Kissel bring the action. Sunday’s television broadcast will be conducted by CBS, as the crew of Ian Eagle, Dan Fouts and Evan Washburn will be on the call. Tico Sports will also produce a Spanish broadcast on La Mega 1160 AM and KPPZ 100.5 FM, featuring Enrique Morales, Oscar Monterroso and Hannah Bassham.
