HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Salthawks will be moving down a class in 2020 and 2021. The KSHSAA released the classifications for football this morning. Hutchinson will be moving down to Class 5A next year.

Hutchinson is one of three area schools that will change classifications next year. The other two are Haven, which will move down to Class 2A, and Pretty Prairie, which will move up to 1A 8-Man Division 1

Hutchinson will be the second-largest school in 5A, behind Liberal, with 1,049 students.
