HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Imagine someone you don’t know entering your home in the middle of the night. That happened to a Hutchinson woman early Thursday morning when a woman, later identified as 33-year-old Jessica Scott, entered a home in the 300 block of East Avenue A, went upstairs and locked herself in a room.
She went outside later and tried to take a car.
Police were called. When officers made contact, Scott gave three fake names before they finally discovered who she was.
Potential charges include burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, interference with law enforcement and criminal damage.
She is jailed on an $8,250 bond and will be back in court next week.
