The bats were busy at Hutchinson,Ks-Hobart/Detter on Friday, and when the dust cleared Hutchinson Monarchs had a 12-9 win over VC Diamond Dawgs. The teams combined for 18 hits, including three extra base hits.
Scott Splett led Hutchinson Monarchs’ offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored one run and had two RBIs. He singled in the third inning.
Jarrod Jameson got the win for Hutchinson Monarchs. He allowed three runs over five innings. Jameson struck out six, walked three and gave up five hits.
