Hutchinson Monarchs pounded Salina Bluejays on Sunday 12-2 at Salina,Ks- Dean Evans Stadium in five innings. Â Hutchinson Monarchs scored six runs in the fourth on an RBI double by Scott Splett, a walk by Seth Wheeler, a three-run double by Aaron Stubblefield, and an RBI single by Spencer Ruggles. Â Stubblefield racked up four RBIs on two hits for Hutchinson Monarchs.
Shane Martin got the win for Hutchinson Monarchs. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out five, walked four and surrendered four hits.
The game’s last lead went to Hutchinson Monarchs thanks to a second inning rally that saw three runs cross the plate on a passed ball, a sacrifice fly by Ruggles, and an RBI single by Stubblefield.
