HUTCHINSON, Kan. — TECH announced Monday that Chief Financial Officer Kevin Hess has been promoted to vice president of finance and business.

Hess will continue to oversee the finance/accounting, maintenance and transportation departments. He will oversee The Work Center, TECHnology Center and have additional leadership responsibilities within the organization.

Hess began his career in 1998, working in the audit and tax department for Pierce, Faris & Co. He joined the Kroger Company in 2003 and remained with Kroger until joining TECH in October 2018.

“Kevin has been a great addition to our TECH Team. During the past year, he has made significant strides in updating many of our accounting systems and processes and has greatly increased our efficiencies. Kevin’s background in retail, finance and customer service will be a tremendous asset to TECH as we look to our future and growth within the community. I have enjoyed working with Kevin during this past year and I look forward to Kevin assuming additional responsibilities as he expands his leadership role in the organization,” Brenda Maxey, president/CEO of TECH, said.

Kevin graduated from Kansas State University with degrees in accounting and management.
