Fire in a ventilation system forced the evacuation of the second shift workers at Kuhn/Kraus Manufacturing in Hutchinson Monday evening.

Fire crews were called out to the plant on Monroe around 9:30 p-m.

Apparently a ventilation system on a piece of equipment caught fire filling the plant with smoke. It’s the second time that same filter system has ignited in the past few weeks. A similar incident occurred during the day shift in early May. No injuries were reported.
