A 28-year-old Hutchinson man made a first appearance Tuesday on a charge of possession of marijuana with intent to sell.
Casey Paul Word of 412 Liberty in the Careyville neighborhood of Hutchinson, was arrested Monday evening after a search warrant was served on his home by the Reno County Drug Unit.
They allege that they found 22, 1-quart glass jars with green vegegtation. They also allegedly found growing lights, filters, pots, reflective paper, grow bags, fans, timers, potting soil and marijuana seeds. They also found sandwich baggies and a digital scale.
Other potential charges include possession of marijuana with intent to package, possession of grow or manufacturing paraphernalia, and no tax stamp.
In court, Word was granted a reduction of his 65-hundred dollar bond, to 5-thousand dollars.
He’ll be back in court on June 13.
