HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Central Christian Schools will host a community blood drive with the American Red Cross on Monday, Oct. 14, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the school’s commons.

The blood drive is a way of giving staff, colleagues, neighbors, and age-eligible students an opportunity to help save lives. Donors of all blood types are needed, especially those with types O negative, B negative and A negative. Type O negative is the universal blood type that can be safely transfused to anyone, and it’s often used to treat trauma patients.

As part of the drive the Red Cross will give $10 per unit of donated blood toward the purchase of guitars for the middle school music program.
