HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Reno County Republicans will meet to go over potential appointments to fill the unexpired term of Sheriff Randy Henderson who announced that he will step down at the end of the year.

According to Party Chair Rudy Rodriguez, they have received interest in the position but could not disclose their names. The committees will take nominations at a meeting on Thursday at 6:30 in the student union’s Blue Dragon Room on the Hutch CC campus.

The nominations will then go to the governor’s desk where she will make the appointment for Henderson’s replacement.
