HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The next phase of the North Main Street project is set to begin next week.
According to Hutchinson Public Works, crews will begin replacing the existing water lines from 13th Avenue down to 5th starting Oct. 24. That work is expected to last through April with most of the work occurring on the west side of the street.
The project also includes replacing the storm sewer, sidewalks, curb and gutter, street lighting and replacing existing traffic signals at 5th Avenue and 9th Avenue. The project will finish with a mill and asphalt overlay.
The work should be completed by late spring or early summer of 2020.
