HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A Community Open House will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. at Hutchinson Community College.

“It’s going to be in what we call the ‘Crimson Courtyard,’ which is that part of campus right behind Lockman Hall,” spokesperson Denny Stoecklein said. “We’re going to have a number of the different areas of the college — some of the fine arts, the academic side — showing off what they do. Some of the arts side will have face painting and art projects that people can work on.”

He says the event is not just for students or those who may consider becoming a student. “It’s not geared at a specific age, we say kids of all ages because there is something there that would appeal to anyone,” Stoecklein said. “We’ll have musical performances as well. This is just a chance to showcase what we do and say ‘thank you’ to the community.”

He says alumni and friends will be there cooking hot dogs. There will be food and treats for people ahead of football homecoming.
