HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson City Council will have two new members after two of the three incumbents lost in Tuesday’s election.

Only Jade Piros de Carvalho was able to keep her seat on the council by defeating Lovella Kelly and Josh Naiman.

Mayor Dave Inskeep was defeated by Sara Bagwell for the at-large seat 2,061 votes to 1,963. Councilman Steve Dechant lost to challenger Steven Garza in a close race 274 votes to 232.
