Survey available for new Newton superintendent

NEWTON, Kan. — Newton School Superintendent Deb Hamm announced her resignation in September. The district has now started the process to find her replacement.

The Kansas Association of School Boards, in coordination with the Newton School District, has announced it will be conducting an online survey to seek community input on desired characteristics for a new superintendent.

Officials say the survey will take approximately five minutes to complete and can be accessed here. Officials want to get feedback from residents of the district.

The survey must be completed by Nov. 22 at midnight.

Hamm’s last day will be June 30, 2020.
