HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The 2019 NJCAA D1 Women’s Volleyball Tournament 1st day is in the books with the top 3 seeds advancing into the final four spots.  The lone exception was the last spot was filled by the No. 5 seed Polk State.  The biggest upset was No. 4 seed Snow College dropping their first round match to No. 13 seed Northeastern Colorado 3 games to 1 on Thursday.

Top seed Navarro was pushed by No. 16 seed Monroe College in one of the first matches of the day, but won 25-21, 22-25, 25-21 and 25-20.

Tonight’s semi-final match ups will be No. 1 Navarro vs No. 5 Polk State and No. 2 seed Miami Dade vs the Kansas representative, No. 3 Seward County.

Consolation bracket play begins today at 10:00 am with 10 matches concluding with the final four matches at 7:30 pm.
