As expected, the K-61 and 30th Street intersection in northeast Hutchinson opened Thursday at 2 p-m for traffic in all directions.

There’s still a small amount of work continuing in this area and the one mile section of K-61 from north of Medora to the Reno/McPherson County line is still at two lanes of traffic while the final section of the four lane highway is completed.

All roadway work is scheduled to be completed on K-61 by the end of July 2012, and construction of the pedestrian bridge over K-61 at 30th Street will be completed later in September 2012.
