Former Parts Manager Pleads Guilty To Stealing From Truck Center In Salina

A former parts manager for a truck center in Salina has pleaded guilty to stealing from the company. 35-year-old Jamie D. Wood, of Salina, pleaded guilty to one count of mail fraud.

In his plea, he admitted that while he was a parts manager for Kansas Truck Center in Salina, he created false invoices causing the company to mail checks totaling more than $500,000 to a fictitious vender in Kansas. The false invoices were made to show that KTC purchased truck parts from a friend of the defendant even though the company had received no goods or services from the defendant’s friend.

Sentencing is set for Sept. 17, and he faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000.
