Little River man facing trial in gun related charges scheduled for court Friday

A 20-year-old Little River man managed is in court Friday for a pre-trial hearing on gun related charges.

Travis Belt is charged with criminal possession of a firearm, criminal use of weapons, and felony theft. He’s accused of having a weapon after being convicted of a felony within the past 5-years, and also giving a weapon to a known drug user. The state also alleges that he stole a gun from a local store, Bob’s Trading Post, with two more prior convictions for theft. All the crimes are alleged to have occurred on January 26.

He’s been under supervision in McPherson County for a felony conviction out Ford County for possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia from a case last year.

The hearing Friday is scheduled in front of Judge Trish Rose, however as always, these hearings are subject to change.
