Siemens Opens Doors for Families of Employees

It was a chance to give families of Siemens employees a chance to see inside the giant wind nacelle assembly facility on the south edge of Hutchinson, and at the same time help the local food bank.

On Saturday, Siemens held a family open house so that spouses and family members could tour the building and see its inner workings.

More than 800 attendees took part in the tour. Siemens asked each visitor to bring at least one non-perishable food item for the Reno County Food Bank.

According to Siemens spokesperson Laura Snyder, 1,190 items were brought in. The food was donated Wednesday to the Reno County Food Bank.
