A Hoisington woman was killed in a one-vehicle accident 3-miles north of Great Bend Wednesday morning.

At around 11 a-m, Wednesday, Barton County Sheriff’s Officers were dispatched to a rollover accident in the 400 block of Northwest 10 Avenue.

A 2000 Ford Expedition driven by 64-year-old Gwen Hipp of Hoisington was southbound when the vehicle she was driving left the roadway.

Barton County Sheriff’s Officials say they concluded the driver over-corrected and rolled one time coming to rest on its wheels.

Hipp was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

She was not wearing a seat-belt at the time of the accident.
